Membership EligibilityMembership is just a step awayAs a not-for-profit financial cooperative with a community charter granted by the state of Michigan, NuUnion members come from all walks of life. Chances are, if you or someone in your family is part of a community in mid-Michigan, you're eligible to be a NuUnion member. Check the following list to see if you qualify. Community membersAll persons living, working, attending school, or worshiping in the counties of Allegan, Barry, Calhoun, Clare, Clinton, Eaton, Genesee, Gladwin, Gratiot, Ingham, Ionia, Isabella, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Kent, Livingston, Mecosta, Midland, Missaukee, Montcalm, Muskegon, Osceola, Ottawa, Roscommon, Saginaw, Shiawassee, VanBuren, and Washtenaw, Michigan. Employees and retireesEmployees and retirees of:
Faculty, graduates, students, employees and pensioners of the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Lansing, Michigan. Any person who receives a retirement annuity, pension, social security, or similar retirement payment from private or government sources, and lives in, or belongs to a retirement organization located in the county, or in a county contiguous to the county where the credit union's Main Office or branch is located. Employees of NuUnion. A legal entity comprised for the most part of the same general group as the membership outlined above. Family membersMembers of the immediate families of any of the foregoing groups. A spouse of a deceased member if elected to membership at any time prior to remarriage. |
